Massage Therapy
The Massage Therapy Diploma or Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) Program is dedicated to the training of skilled massage therapists through an education program with emphasis on ethics, professionalism, disciplined study, skillful practice, and a belief in an alternative approach to health care.
The program develops proficiency and confidence in therapeutic massage techniques. Students learn massage skills, develop a comprehensive understanding of the structure and function of the body, and the effects of massage therapy on the body. They gain an understanding of the benefits and limitations of massage therapy and the knowledge necessary to refer clients to other professional health care givers when appropriate.

Occupational Therapy Assistant
The OTA Program at St. Louis College of Health Careers successfully equips students as they make their transition from student to entry-level clinician through carefully selected curriculum and courses designed to build upon prior knowledge and experiences as they progress through each sequence. After successful completion of all didactic and clinical fieldwork experiences, the OTA student will be eligible to sit for the National Certification Exam administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) in order to become certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). After passing the National Board exam, graduates may file for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with their appropriate state board of Occupational Therapy.

Patient Care Technician
Patient Care Technicians receive instruction in
anatomy and physiology and will understand body
function and related illnesses. They are taught the
fundamentals of nursing and can provide basic
nursing care at the technician level. The program
also includes instruction in the techniques of performing electrocardiograms (ECG's) and drawing blood (phlebotomy).

Medical Administrative Specialist
Medical Administrative specialists serve as the foundation for the medical financial team, crucial to the functioning of health care facilities, by performing administrative responsibilities – medical billing, patient accounts / statements, insurance claims processing / examining – working directly with patients, physicians, and health care personnel.
Students are prepared to understand basic bookkeeping, accounts receivable / payable, CPT coding, ICD-9-CM, Diagnostic Related Groups, Workers Compensation, Managed Care Systems, Medicare, Medicaid, other government / private insurance procedures, as well as tracing delinquent claims and insurance problem solving, with special emphasis on data entry and computer skills.

Pharmacy Technicians
As health care professionals, Pharmacy Technicians have varying responsibilities. Some of those include, but are not limited to, preparing and filling prescriptions under the direction of a pharmacist, issuing medicine, labeling/storing supplies, and preparing IV solutions. With more and more Pharmacists doing patient counseling and working directly with physicians, they are relying on the Technicians to manage the daily activities of the pharmacy.
